Founder Dr. Alex Accetta brings 25+ years of leadership experience and a career dedicated to building cultures of belonging, wellbeing, and purpose, creating the conditions where people and institutions thrive through change and growth.
A skilled facilitator and educator, Alex has delivered more than 50 talks, trainings, and keynotes on leadership, culture, and strategy. His doctoral research in Educational Leadership focused on empathy and global perspective as foundations for human-centered leadership. He has twice served on the NIRSA Board of Directors, led Oregon Disability Sports as President, and taught for NIRSA, ACUHO-I, and ACUI. Clients have included the University of Oregon, Purdue University-Indianapolis, and Kyushu Sangyo University.
Before founding The Pathline Group, Alex was Executive Director of Recreation and Wellness at Stanford University, where he improved organizational performance by integrating strategy, HR, communications, assessment, and operations across a multi-site portfolio with over one million annual visits. At Portland State University, he led the construction and integration of two capital projects totaling $124M, strengthening campus operations across recreation, conferences and events, retail, food service, and auxiliary enterprises. His experience include everything from coaching a cross country team to the NCAA championships to producing a Third Eye Blind concert, illustrating a versatile and results-oriented leadership approach.
